I am currently involved in several research projects. Here is a list and description of some of the funded on-going ones:
SORJAT: Early diagnostics and prevention of foot lesions in dairy cattle. 2009-2012

Pain after dehorning in calves Around 300 000 calves are born yearly in Finland, and most of them are dehorned, due to safety reasons. Disbudding is recommended in Finalnd to be performed underlocal anesthesia. There is not enough knowledege about the needed lenght for a pain medication after the disbudding.
